BottlesPure Sangiovese produced from old vines located at 160m above sea level in two scarce hectares of vineyards. Fermentation with the addition of 5% stalks takes place using indigenous yeasts in Slovenian oak barrels with about two weeks’ maceration on the skins. After racking, the wine matures for one year in wooden barrels. It matures for six months in the bottle.
Ruby red in colour with violet hues, the nose is fruity, intense and spicy, with hints of ripe cherries, sweet spices, liquorice and black pepper. The palate is juicy, fresh, fruity, with lively tannin and good persistence.
First and second courses of land, tasty fish dishes such as cacciucco alla livornese.
