Lagrein “Alte Reben” (Vigne Vecchie) Alto Adige DOC 2018

The vines grow on a scree near the Trodena stream in Villa/Egna at 250 m above sea level. The grapes ferment for two weeks in contact with the skins in large 25 hl oak barrels with subsequent malolactic fermentation. The wine matures for a year in 500 and 700 liter oak barrels.

Intense and dark ruby ​​red colour; intense aromas of black fruits and undergrowth stand out on the nose, precise and savory fruit, fine body; it is also savory on the palate, with velvety breadth, soft acidity and important persistence.
