Merlot, Sangiovese
The Merlot and Sangiovese grapes are harvested and vinified at different times, at full maturity for each variety; fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks, at a temperature of 28°C, and lasts about 10 days, with maceration on the skins for 20 days; the wine, once the malolactic fermentation is also finished, is left to mature for 12 months in barriques, partly new and partly used; it is refined in the bottle before being put on the market.
Ruby red color; intense nose of pomegranate, blackberry and violet, with elegant spicy notes; rich and enveloping sip, balanced, with beautiful freshness and ripe tannins; savory and vibrant finish.
First courses with meat sauces, stewed meats, braised meats, casseroles, game, mature cheeses.
