Nipozzano “Vecchie Viti” Chianti Rufina Riserva DOCG 2020

The harvested and destemmed grapes ferment spontaneously in concrete tanks; at the end of fermentation the wine remains in the vats to complete the maceration. It is subsequently left to mature in wooden barrels for the necessary time and finally refines in the bottle for some time, before being marketed.

At sight it is brilliant ruby ​​red, without sagging. It is rich and complex on the nose, fruity notes of cherry, blueberry and blackberry are accompanied by the typical floral notes of sweet violet and wild rose. Vertical and varied, it shows its bouquet with balsamic notes, hints of undergrowth and memories of walnut husk. In the mouth it is harmonious, with the acid component well balanced by a generous body, thanks to the particularly favorable vintage. The tannic texture is silky as often in the best wines from older vineyards. The finish guided by an elegant minerality that lengthens its persistence.
