Description

This Schiava is produced exclusively with grapes from the “Kristploner” farm. The farm is located in Guncina, on the slopes of Monsocolo, with south-east exposure and porphyry soils. It is the birthplace of Toni Rottensteiner’s wife, Rosa, who has since passed to her daughter Evi. The wine is fermented at 25°C and matures in steel tanks.

Tasting

Agile and fruity, with notes of cherry, violet and bitter almond; while not lacking a discreet structure, its maximum expression lies in its freshness.

Pairings

It is a very versatile wine in the kitchen, from starters and light main courses to roast beef. It’s perfect for a chat with friends, perhaps with a plate of speck and cheese.
