The History
The Masottina winery was founded by Epifanio Dal Bianco in 1946, as a way to recover economically after the war, recognizing the great potential of the territory. His three sons, inspired by this spirit, invested in the growth and valorization of the territory, believing in excellence through specialization and the recovery of traditions. Currently, the winery is led by Adriano, Epifanio’s eldest son, who is winemaker and president, supported by his sons Federico (vice president) and Filippo (sales director).
Terroir & Winery
The hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene are an area particularly suited to viticulture; the unique microclimate given by the fortunate position between the sea and the Pre-Alps guarantees moderate temperatures and constant ventilation which promotes the health of the grapes. The soils have ancient origins linked to the evolution of the sea and lake beds. Some hills have been shaped by the glaciers of the Dolomites, carrying various sediments downstream. This variety of slopes, exposures and soil types makes each microzone unique and precious.
