Sparkling wine
The History
The Simoncelli family began cultivating those vineyards more than two hundred years ago and for many years simply sold the fruit of their harvests; in 1977 Armando Simoncelli decided to start making wine from his own grapes and bottling with his own name on the label. Today he is supported by his children Paolo and Anna.
Terroir & Winery
The vineyards, cultivated following tradition, are located in an alluvial valley bottom environment at around 200m above sea level, on rich and fertile soil in an optimal microclimate for the vine. The vineyard area is approximately 12 hectares planted with Marzemino, Cabernet, Merlot, Lagrein, Schiava, Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco and Pinot Grigio. The range also includes a vintage Trento Doc sparkling wine made from Chardonnay grapes.
