Description

The soil characterized by limestone areas rich in stones and marl hosts the vineyards facing south/south-west, at an altitude between 100 and 300 metres. After the vinification phase, the wine rests for 15 months in French (and a small part American) oak barriques. The name of the wine is inspired by Guidalberto della Gherardesca, grandfather of Nicolò Incisa della Rocchetta.

Tasting

Intense ruby red color. Enveloping aromas of cherry and berries combine with hints of aromatic herbs and dark spices. Elegance and fullness of fruit characterize the sip, with smooth tannins and a gentle freshness that increases its pleasantness. Final of incredible persistence.

Semi-mature or mature cheeses, first and second courses based on red meat or game.
