Description

The wine is made from Greco grapes from the Vigna Cicogna vineyard, at an altitude of 400/450m and east/west exposure. The vineyard is characterised by mixed clayey-sandy-calcareous soil with sulphurous veins underneath. The harvest for these 40/60 year old vines is carried out manually in mid-October. Vinified with soft pressing, the must, strictly protected from oxygen, is clarified by natural sedimentation. Maturation is carried out for 5/7 months in steel on fine lees regularly re-suspended in the wine. To finish, a couple of months in the bottle.

Tasting

Intense straw yellow in colour; it is a structured white wine like a red wine, endowed with extreme minerality; typical notes of bitter almond peep out on the finish. Powerful and refined.
